Meet Greg
INSTRUCTOR PROFILE
Think. Train. Defend.
Those three words define my approach to firearms instruction.
I am not a tactically costumed operator. I am a lifelong student of the craft who believes armed citizens have a responsibility to develop not only shooting skill, but also judgment, awareness, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
My focus is helping new and intermediate shooters become capable, confident, and responsible defenders of themselves and the people they love.
I believe the most dangerous person in a gunfight is not the fastest, it is the person who has thought about the problem before it happened.
Everything I teach is built around that principle.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
Outside the firearms industry, I serve as Vice President of Information Technology for one of the largest electric cooperatives in the United States.
For decades I have led teams, developed leaders, built training programs, and helped people perform under pressure.
The same principles that drive my professional life drive my instruction:
- Servant Leadership
- Accountability
- Continuous Improvement
- Making Others More Capable
- Leaving Things Better Than I Found Them
Those principles are more important than any firearm, holster, optic, or piece of gear.
WHAT STUDENTS CAN EXPECT
Students attending a Think Train Defend class can expect:
- A safe and welcoming learning environment

- Practical skill development instead of ego-driven instruction
- Honest feedback delivered with respect
- Judgment and decision-making, not just marksmanship
- Structured curriculum and supporting student materials
- An instructor who remains an active student himself
No ego. No posturing. No pretending.
Just practical skills for ordinary people who want to become more capable.
